Doing my Best...

These past 72 hours have been the hardest in my continued battle with PD.

If you've been wondering where I've disappeared to the past month... Well, those have been difficult also... My "on" periods have become less frequent and shorter... I seem to be losing weight fast and at times I'm so weak I can hardly move (like right now!)

Our daddy gives the best horsey rides!
However bleak this may sound, I am truly a blessed man... I know where I'm going after this body gives up... But, by God's grace and with His strength, I believe that time is not yet... I'm told that they are ready to schedule my surgery... Just a little longer Merv,  just a little longer... Hold on... I've so much left to do, precious children who still need their daddy... a wonderful wife who still leans on me... God please heal me!

Yet, I trust and hope in God... He is ENOUGH!

Psalms 73: 23-28
Yet I am always with you;
       you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
       and afterward you will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
       And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
       but God is the strength of my heart
       and my portion forever.
Those who are far from you will perish;
       you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
But as for me, it is good to be near God.
       I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
       I will tell of all your deeds.

  1. I am praying for you right now. I love you SO much!

  2. Merv, To watch God sustain you in this journey has been awe filled for me. You truly are a great encourager of the saints.

    Much love and prayers,

  3. Dear, dear Merv, We continue to trust in our God who, alone, is able to sustain you. We love you Merv!

  4. Love you Dad! You are in my prayers too!

  5. You are loved Merv. There are many of us praying for you during this time. May God's grace sustain you.

  6. Pleading with our loving, faithful Father to bring relief now and recovery/surgery soon.
    You're our hero Merv! Seriously Merv, always thanking Him and looking up. Here's our hand across the miles. We stand with you. In His grace... you're the strong one among us.
